THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS: BOOK REVIEW

"I wish you could see yourself the way I see you." Book title: The Love Hypothesis Author: Ali Hazelwood Genre: Fiction, Contemporary Romance Overall rating: 4.5/5 As a third-year Ph.D. candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships - but her best friend does, and that's exactly what got her into this situation. Where do I begin? Get Ali Hazelwood a damn prize because she created two characters who felt so real and who I cared for so quickly. To say I was invested is an understatement. I found Olive to be loveable, sweet, and a woman of integrity. And Dr. Adam Carlsen ... a true king. Grumpy with quiet confidence yet oh so kind to out heroine, charmed by her and unwittingly charming toward her, it's all very much a YES for me. Ali Hazelwood gave these two the time and attention deserved and gave the reader a really natural-feeling contemporary rom-com, while touching on relevant issues in the STEM community. UGLY LOVE: BOOK REVIEW

"I didn't fall in love with you. I flew."

Book title: Ugly Love

Author: Colleen Hoover

Genre: Romance, Fiction

Overall rating: 5/5

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

When Tate Collins moves to San Francisco to live with her brother, she meets Miles Archer and while they don't get along right away, they soon start a friends-with-benefits kind of situation. They set up rules but will things really stay that way? Can he overcome the demons from his past? Can he love again?

Ugly Love is different from a regular YA romance book and it definitely wasn't what I expected it to be. It gives love its own twist, binding the past and present in a perfect way and giving the reader a peek from each character's perspective. During the story, I grew so much love toward the characters and they felt so real. Colleen Hoover really has a special way to describe love, and she makes sure that the reader will feel exactly what the characters feel.

It's an emotional rollercoaster and I don't think it can leave any heart cold.

SADNESS. This is what I felt.

And maybe that's the only bad part of this book. Your heart will be BROKEN. Tears will FLOW. And there will be a point when you will feel completely EMPTY.

Yet. Another. Masterpiece.
